Terms & Conditions

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and AutoSter governing your use of our website and services. By creating an account or posting a listing you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

• You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom.
• AutoSter is for private sellers only. Motor traders and dealers are not permitted.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

• You may only list vehicles you legally own and are entitled to sell.
• Descriptions must be accurate, including mileage, MOT, service history and any damage.
• Photos must be of the actual vehicle for sale.
• You are responsible for compliance with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Sale of Goods Act / Consumer Rights Act 2015 where applicable.
• We may remove or edit listings at our discretion if they breach these terms.

You must not:

• Post stolen, cloned or written-off vehicles without proper disclosure.
• Engage in fraud, money laundering, or any unlawful activity.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users.
• Scrape, copy or republish the site or its data without our written permission.
• Upload viruses, malware or attempt to compromise the platform.

AutoSter only provides a platform for users to find each other. We are not a party to any sale. We do not inspect vehicles, verify ownership or hold payments. You meet, inspect and pay at your own risk. Always verify the V5C logbook, MOT history (gov.uk) and HPI status before paying.

Standard listings are free. Optional paid features (e.g. featured placement) will be clearly priced at the point of purchase and are non-refundable once the feature has been activated.

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display and promote your listing on AutoSter and in marketing of the platform for as long as the listing is active.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, behave fraudulently, or pose a risk to other users. Where possible we will give notice and a chance to respond.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by UK law. Subject to that, we are not liable for:

• Losses arising from transactions between users.
• Indirect, consequential or loss-of-profit damages.
• Service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Our total liability to you will not exceed £100 or the fees you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, whichever is greater.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case the courts of your home nation also have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
